ABOUT US

Monarch Home Health Services was founded in 2003 by an experienced team of healthcare professionals who wanted to go beyond the home care industry’s basic requirement and set higher standards of excellence, service and professionalism. We work with clients and their families to custom design specific assistance programs to best fit their needs. Nursing care visits can be combined with home health aide visits for comprehensive care.

Our home health employees are tested and certified either as CNAs or Home Health Aides. They are carefully screened, have references thoroughly checked (including criminal background and driving record checks), as well as being bonded and insured. CPR and First Aid training are required. We also provide on-going training and education to all of our employees.

Amy Northway / President

Amy founded Monarch Home Health Services fifteen years ago with the purpose of improving the quality of lives for people in need of assistance and has devoted her work to providing compassionate care to others. Amy believes it is very important to give back to her community. That is why she has dedicated her free time as Co-Chair of Bay Area Senior Advocates, Co-Chair for the Annual Alzheimer’s Walk and member of the Greater Michigan Chapter in Traverse City. Not only is Amy passionate about caring for others, but she also loves living a healthy lifestyle with her family and three doggies (yes, THREE!).

Bonny Hall / VP of Operations

Bonny is Vice President of Operations for Monarch. The families that Bonny meets through her job inspire her each and every day, and are a constant reminder of how meaningful her work with Monarch is. Bonny is a devoted community member, hoping to better the lives of people around her. She has volunteered with the Alzheimer’s Walk each year and is currently the Treasurer for Parkinson’s Network North. Bonny is also a strong advocate for living a healthy lifestyle. She is an avid mountain biker, former marathoner and even a triathlete!

Laura Williamson / Scheduling Coordinator

Laura is the newest member to the Monarch team and we are so excited to have her as our Scheduling Coordinator. Laura’s outgoing personality and compassion for others enables her to provide exceptional care. She enjoys the variety of her work and the wonderful people she assists at Monarch. Volunteer work is extremely important to Laura. She is currently involved with the new Munson Family Birth and Children’s Center. In Laura’s free time, she enjoys playing pickleball, golf and is an excellent euchre card player!

Taking care of someone with dementia is not easy and it takes special people who truly love what they do. The staff at Monarch clearly have a passion for nurturing the elderly.
